Group Visits

Bring your group of 10 or more adults to Historic Fort Snelling and receive reduced admission.

Please contact the Group Tickets office at 651-259-3003 or via email at grouptickets@mnhs.org for more information about group offerings.

Group visits include admission to all regular daily programs within the historic fort. Group visits are self-guided during the summer season. During the off-season (September-May), the historic fort is only accessible via guided walking tour and each group will be assigned a tour time upon arrival.

• $12 per person; free for motor coach operator
• $4 discounted group rate available for nonprofit organizations serving limited income audiences

• Visits must be booked two weeks in advance to receive group rate.
• Additions or group cancellations must be made at least two weeks before scheduled visit.
• Non-refundable payment in full is due two weeks prior to visit.
• Please notify us in advance of any potential mobility issues or language/interpreter needs.
• Subject to availability, golf carts may be available to help transport visitors from the Plank Visitor Center to the historic fort. There are also a limited number of wheelchairs available for use.

Bus tours
September 9, 10, 16, and 17, 2025

Bring a tour bus to Historic Fort Snelling and one of our staff will ride along with you throughout the site, sharing stories from Fort Snelling’s past. Your tour will explore the restored 19th century stone fort from the comfort of your bus, as well as some of the surrounding area.

Access to the Plank Museum & Visitor Center is included with your visit.  This space includes the Many Voices, Many Stories, One Place exhibit, historic objects and displays, a 17 minute film, the gift shop, and restroom access.  Refreshments can be purchased in the visitor center as well.
